Soaring Spirits Creations exists to support wellbeing, awareness, and hope. That support means little if our site is not usable by everyone who needs it. We are committed to making soaringspiritscreations.net and the Willow App welcoming, respectful, and accessible to people of all abilities, including those who use assistive technologies.
Our goal
We aim to meet or exceed Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. This includes consideration for:
- Text alternatives for meaningful images
- Clear, consistent headings and page structure so screen reader users can navigate efficiently
- Sufficient color contrast for text and important icons
- Keyboard access for all interactive elements — you should be able to use our site without a mouse
- Visible focus indicators so keyboard users always know where they are
- Forms with clear labels, error messages, and instructions
- Respect for reduced-motion preferences — we minimize animations if you have asked your system to reduce motion
What we are doing
- Building with semantic HTML, labeled controls, and descriptive link text
- Testing key flows (navigation, Willow check-in, journal, jewelry checkout) with keyboard-only navigation
- Using our design tokens to maintain legible contrast between text and backgrounds
- Applying focus styles and accessible names for buttons, dialogs, and carousels
- Providing clear, plain language throughout the site, especially for sensitive wellbeing content
- Regularly reviewing new pages and features for accessibility before publishing
Assistive technology compatibility
Our site is designed to work with current versions of major screen readers, including VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, NVDA and JAWS on Windows, and built-in screen readers on Android. If you use speech recognition, switch access, screen magnification, or other assistive technologies, we aim to support you as well.
Because assistive technology combinations are broad and ever-changing, we cannot guarantee compatibility with every tool in every situation. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us so we can improve.
Known limitations and ongoing work
We are a small team building with intention. While we work toward full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, some areas may still need improvement:
- Third-party embedded content (such as Stripe Checkout) is controlled by its provider and may have different accessibility characteristics
- Some older blog images may be missing detailed alternative text — we are updating these over time
- Highly visual jewelry photography relies on detailed product descriptions — if a description does not give you enough information, contact us and we will provide additional detail
We maintain an internal list of improvements and prioritize fixes that impact core tasks like reading, checking in with Willow, and completing a purchase.
Physical and jewelry accessibility
Our jewelry shop is online only at this time, with no physical retail location. Product pages include written descriptions of size, materials, and fit. If you need additional measurements, weight, or information about clasp or closure accessibility, email us and we will measure or describe the piece in detail.

Standards and review
This statement was created on July 28, 2026, and was prepared based on self-assessment using automated tools, manual keyboard testing, and review of WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. We will review and update this statement at least annually or when we make substantial changes to the site or Willow App.

Wellbeing work is inclusive work. If our site ever feels hard to use, unclear, or unwelcoming, please let us know. You are welcome here, and we will continue to do the steady work of making that welcome real in how our pages behave, not only in what they say.
